Als Abteilungsleiter E-Bike-Mechanik übernimmst du die Verantwortung für ein großes Team von rund 30–40 Mitarbeitenden im Bereich E-Bike-Mechanik. Dein Fokus liegt auf Führung, Motivation, Prozessoptimierung und der kontinuierlichen Verbesserung des Reparaturprozesses.
Deine Rolle
In dieser Position bist du verantwortlich für das E-Bike-Mechaniker-Team und die Weiterentwicklung der Werkstattprozesse. Du sorgst dafür, dass Abläufe klarer, effizienter und skalierbarer werden und dass das Team im Alltag gut arbeiten kann.
Es geht nicht darum, dauerhaft im „Firefighting-Modus“ zu arbeiten. Im Gegenteil: Dein Ziel ist es, genau davon wegzukommen. Du analysierst bestehende Abläufe, erkennst Verbesserungspotenziale und setzt gemeinsam mit dem Team nachhaltige Lösungen um. Dabei arbeitest du eng mit den Operations Managern und weiteren operativen Schnittstellen zusammen.
Deine Aufgaben
- Führung, Motivation und Weiterentwicklung eines E-Bike-Mechaniker-Teams von ca. 30–40 Mitarbeitenden
- Optimierung des gesamten Reparaturprozesses in der Werkstatt
- Aufbau und Weiterentwicklung klarer Strukturen, Standards und Verantwortlichkeiten
- Tägliche Organisation von Aufgaben, Prioritäten und Kapazitäten im Team
- Sicherstellung einer hohen Reparaturqualität und effizienter Arbeitsabläufe
- Erkennen von Engpässen, wiederkehrenden Problemen und Verbesserungspotenzialen
- Umsetzung nachhaltiger Lösungen, um reaktives Arbeiten zu reduzieren
- Förderung einer positiven, motivierten und leistungsfähigen Teamkultur
- Sicherstellen, dass das Team die richtigen Informationen, Materialien und Rahmenbedingungen hat, um gut arbeiten zu können
Das bringst du mit
- Erfahrung in der Führung von Teams, idealerweise in einer Fahrradwerkstatt, einem Bike Store, Servicecenter, technischen Betrieb oder vergleichbaren Umfeld
- Starkes technisches Verständnis für Fahrradmechanik; E-Bike-Erfahrung ist ein klarer Vorteil
- Freude daran, Menschen zu führen, zu motivieren und weiterzuentwickeln
- Starkes Organisationsvermögen und ein strukturierter Arbeitsstil
- Fähigkeit, bestehende Abläufe zu analysieren und pragmatisch zu verbessern
- Kommunikationsstärke und die Fähigkeit, Klarheit und Ruhe in ein dynamisches Umfeld zu bringen
- Hands-on-Mentalität, ohne den Fokus auf Führung und Struktur zu verlieren
- Sehr gute Englischkenntnisse; Deutschkenntnisse sind von Vorteil

Do you have experience leading technical teams and want to do more than just manage the daily operations of a large E-Bike workshop? Would you like to help structurally improve and further develop workshop processes?
For our client, a fast-growing international scale-up in the field of sustainable e-mobility, we are looking for a strong leader for the Düsseldorf location. The company is building one of Europe’s leading platforms for refurbished E-Bikes, combining technical quality, sustainability and fair pricing.
As Head of E-Bike Mechanics, you will be responsible for a large team of around 30–40 employees in the E-Bike mechanics department. Your focus will be on leadership, motivation, process optimization and the continuous improvement of the repair process.
Your role
In this position, you will be responsible for the E-Bike mechanics team and the further development of workshop processes. You will ensure that workflows become clearer, more efficient and more scalable, while enabling the team to perform well in their day-to-day work.
This role is not about constantly operating in “firefighting mode”. Quite the opposite: your goal is to move away from exactly that. You will analyze existing workflows, identify opportunities for improvement and implement sustainable solutions together with the team. You will work closely with the Operations Managers and other operational stakeholders.
Your responsibilities
- Leading, motivating and developing an E-Bike mechanics team of around 30–40 employees
- Optimizing the overall repair process within the workshop
- Building and further developing clear structures, standards and responsibilities
- Daily organization of tasks, priorities and team capacities
- Ensuring high repair quality and efficient workflows
- Identifying bottlenecks, recurring issues and opportunities for improvement
- Implementing sustainable solutions to reduce reactive ways of working
- Promoting a positive, motivated and high-performing team culture
- Ensuring that the team has the right information, materials and framework conditions to work effectively
What you bring
- Experience leading teams, ideally in a bicycle workshop, bike store, service center, technical operation or similar environment
- Strong technical understanding of bicycle mechanics; E-Bike experience is a clear advantage
- Enjoyment in leading, motivating and developing people
- Strong organizational skills and a structured way of working
- Ability to analyze existing workflows and improve them pragmatically
- Strong communication skills and the ability to bring clarity and calm into a dynamic environment
- Hands-on mentality, while maintaining a clear focus on leadership and structure
- Very good English skills; German skills are an advantage
